The executive board of Avenir Sportif de La Marsa has reached an agreement with coach Imed Ben Younes to take charge of the technical direction of the senior football team starting from next season.

Sabri Ayari, vice-president of Avenir Sportif de La Marsa in charge of football, stated in a statement to the TAP News Agency this Sunday that “the club’s executive committee met a few days ago with coach Imed Ben Younes and an agreement was reached on all clauses and terms of the contract that will bind him to the team for a two-season period. The official signing of the contract is expected to take place at the beginning of next week.”

Ayari added that “the leaders of Avenir de La Marsa have honoured their commitments to coach Amer Derbal, who worked with the team for a season and a half, a fairly long period that confirms that the Saf-Saf team believes in a policy of a sporting project with any coach entrusted to lead the club. This will also be the case with Imed Ben Younes, whose technical work with Étoile Sportive de Métlaoui has been closely monitored. We saw in him a profile in line with the ambitions of Avenir de La Marsa.”

The vice-president concluded by emphasizing that “good governance and prudent decision-making are among the main characteristics of the work of the executive committee of the Saf-Saf team. In the face of limited financial means, there is no room for misjudgments, whether in the choice of the coach or the players called to reinforce the club’s ranks during the coming period.”
