AI and Programming for Arabic Content in Hammamet

The city of Hammamet, in the Nabeul Governorate, will host, on Thursday 11 June 2026, the closing ceremony and the exhibition of innovations of the 5th edition of the “Arab Week of Programming,” organized this year under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Programming in the Service of Arab Culture.”

The event will bring together participants from 18 Arab countries, confirming the regional dimension of this event dedicated to modern technologies, digital innovation, and digital education.

Finalists from 10 Arab countries

According to a joint communiqué issued by the organizers, namely the Tunisian Association of Educational Initiatives and the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Sciences (ALECSO), the finals of this edition will see the participation of champions of innovation representing 10 Arab countries.

These participants have managed to reach the finals after taking part in competitions and activities focused on programming, artificial intelligence, and the creation of innovative digital solutions.

An exhibition dedicated to digital projects

The program of this regional event, whose closing ceremony will be held in Yasmine Hammamet, provides for the presentation of modern digital projects and innovations in competition.

The event will also be an opportunity to highlight several pioneering Arab experiences in the field of digital education, while promoting initiatives aimed at strengthening the use of new technologies in educational systems.

Scientific meetings to share expertise

The 5th Arab Week of Programming will also include open scientific meetings, designed to foster the exchange of experiences among participants in the fields of programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

These meetings will help strengthen Arab cooperation in the digital sector and explore ways to further integrate modern technologies in the service of education, culture, and the production of innovative Arab content.

Technology in the service of Arab culture

According to the communiqué, the Arab Week of Programming aims to disseminate the culture of programming and modern technologies among teachers, students, and people interested in the digital field in the Arab world.

This edition reflects the growing interest given to new technologies and their role in promoting Arab culture, as well as in the development of Arab digital content.

Focusing on the skills of tomorrow

Through its competitions and innovative educational activities, this event aims to help younger generations acquire the skills of the future.

It also aims to support the exchange of Arab expertise in the field of digital education, in order to contribute to the construction of an Arab knowledge society, capable of facing future challenges and contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through modern technologies.
