During his meeting with the Minister of Trade and Export Development, a delegation from the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) expressed the institution’s desire to further strengthen cooperation with Tunisia, both in the public and private sectors.

The delegation also affirmed the bank’s willingness to support Tunisian economic enterprises in order to consolidate their presence on the African continent, as well as to assist exporting companies in gaining access to new markets in Africa.

According to the Ministry of Trade and Export Development, the delegation presented the various financing mechanisms available, as well as the facilities and guarantees offered by the bank and made available to institutions active in the public and private sectors.

This meeting is part of the preparations for the official launch of procedures for the realization of an African multisectoral commercial center in Tunisia, which will include a branch of the bank.

This project is expected to further strengthen access to Tunisian products and services in African markets, in addition to the financial and technical support that the bank will provide to the Tunisian side, notably to Tunisian enterprises exporting goods and services, as well as to importers operating in the African space.
