This Friday evening at the Radès indoor arena, the Tunisian men’s basketball team failed to negotiate its second test in the fourth window of the African qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup, suffering a heavy defeat to Cameroon with a score of 61-83 (26-37 at halftime).
The national team will be back in action this Sunday, August 30, with a tough duel against South Sudan, scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. (Tunisian time) in Radès.
The national five now occupies third place in Group E, alongside Guinea with 13 points, behind Cameroon (1st with 15 points) and South Sudan (2nd with 14 points).
For reference, the 20th edition of the men’s basketball World Cup will be held in Doha, Lusail, Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah in Qatar from August 27 to September 12, 2027.
