The weather on Monday, August 31, 2026, will be marked by conditions favorable to the formation of thunderstorm cells in the western regions of the north and center, according to Slim Ben Miled, an engineer at the National Institute of Meteorology (INM).
These cells will be accompanied by rain, with a risk of hail in some limited areas.
Gusts Exceeding 70 km/h
The winds will blow from the north across the northern part of the country and from the east across the central and southern regions. They will generally be light to moderate, but may intensify temporarily as the thunderstorm cells pass.
Gusts could then exceed 70 km/h.
Slightly Rough Sea and Stable Temperatures
The sea will generally be lightly to moderately rough, becoming locally rougher, notably along the northern coasts.
The temperatures will, for their part, remain relatively stable compared with the previous days.
Slim Ben Miled also recalled that Sunday, August 30, 2026, corresponded to the first day of autumn according to the traditional agricultural calendar.
