Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex Falls at Start of Week

The stock market began the week on a bearish note. The benchmark index posted on Monday, August 31, 2026 a decline of 0.23% to 19,406.31 points, in a turnover of 4.7 million dinars (MD) and with no block trade executed.

Stock Performance

The ASSMA share registered the best performance of the session. It rose by 5.95% to 86,400 dinars (D), in a limited turnover of 5 thousand dinars. While attracting capital of 100 thousand dinars during the session, the STA stock advanced 4.42% to 104,000 D.

The STPIL share ranked as the session’s worst performer on the TUNINDEX. By mobilizing a trading volume of 9 thousand dinars, the stock shed 5.78% to 30,150 D. The TPR value did not perform well on the market during the session, retreating 4.83% to 13,400 D. The stock attracted a capital flow of 396 thousand dinars during the day.

AB was the most traded stock of the session. The share fell slightly by 0.12% to 90,790 D, fueling the market with around 660 thousand dinars of capital.

TUNISIE- SICAF Investment – At the end of the first half of 2026, the company posted a profit of 2.2 MD versus 3.7 MD at the end of June 2025, representing a decline of 39.5%. Its operating revenues fell from 3.8 to 2.4 MD over the same period, due to the decrease in dividends.
