The Financial Market Authority (CMF) announced that it is making available to the public and investors a practical guide entitled “Preventing Fraud on the Internet and Investing with Vigilance.”

This guide, launched on the occasion of World Investor Week 2026, offers practical advice enabling, among other things, a better identification of fraud and manipulation techniques used on the Internet, the verification of information and investment offers, and the adoption of the necessary precautions before sharing personal or financial data or carrying out a funds transfer.

This guide is available on the CMF’s website via the link: “Practical guide to preventing fraud on the Internet and investing with vigilance”.

The CMF also announced that it is posting on its website a new section titled “Warnings,” intended to centralize the alerts and warnings published by the CMF concerning practices, offers or actors likely to present risks for investors and the public.

This new section, the CMF indicated, is intended to constitute a regularly updated reference point, allowing the public and investors to become aware of the CMF’s warnings and to strengthen their vigilance in the face of solicitations and investment offers that are proposed to them.
