Manouba University has maintained fourth place among Tunisian universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, while improving its overall score compared with last year.

Published recently, this ranking covers 2,297 universities across 118 countries. Manouba University earns 28.2 points, up from 27.5 points in the 2026 edition, a gain of 0.7 points.

According to the university’s data, this improvement is mainly due to the rise in the Research Quality indicator (citations), which increased from 42.1 to 44.7 points, placing the institution second nationally for this indicator. The indicator related to the research environment also climbs, from 9.7 to 11.9 points.

The university notes that maintaining its fourth national position, together with the improvement in its overall score, occurs in a context of increasing international competition and a growing number of institutions included in the ranking.
