In a gesture filled with emotion and generosity, the family of Bchira Ghemriani, a deceased French teacher, donated her personal library to the students of Béja Pilot High School, in accordance with her last wishes. An initiative that allows the teacher to continue, through the books she loved so much, her mission of transmitting knowledge.
A love of books that transcends time
As a French teacher at Béja Pilot High School, Bchira Ghemriani was passionate about reading and literature. Over the course of her career, she had built a collection of works including novels, history books and various cultural references.
Committed to the transmission of knowledge, she wished that this library would not remain a simple family heritage, but would continue to serve students and feed their intellectual curiosity.
Her final wish was thus to place her books at the disposal of younger generations, in order to give them access to a cultural heritage built up over the years.
Her family fulfills her last wishes
In a statement given to Tunisie Numérique, Mourad Bourhani, Secretary General of the university section of secondary education in Béja, highlighted the value of this library and the importance of the works gathered by the teacher throughout her life.
The family of the deceased ensured that her last wishes were respected by transferring the books to Béja Pilot High School.
The administration of the institution is currently sorting and cataloging the works, before making them available to the students.
An inheritance that will continue to live among the students
Beyond the material donation, this initiative carries a deeply human message: that of a teacher whose educational commitment continues beyond her passing.
Each book offered represents an opportunity to discover, to learn and to open oneself to the world. By sharing her library with the students, Bchira Ghemriani gives them much more than books: she leaves them a passion for reading and an invitation to continue the path of knowledge.
In Béja, her memory will thus continue to live through the pages that the students will open, the stories they will discover and the knowledge they will acquire.
