On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the German automotive wiring company based in Beja organized, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, a health event named “Health Day 2026,” in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Beja Regional Health Directorate.

This initiative aims to promote prevention, to encourage early detection of breast cancer, and to bring medical services closer to the citizens, with the participation of several health facilities, public institutions, and associations.

Medical consultations in several specialties
The event offers medical consultations open to the public, covering several specialties, including gynecology-obstetrics, cardiology, pediatrics, diabetology, general medicine, rheumatology, nephrology, and psychiatry.
These consultations aim to facilitate access to health services while raising participants’ awareness of the importance of regular medical follow-up and early disease screening.

Breast cancer screening, first aid, and blood donation
The program also includes awareness activities and practical demonstrations devoted to first aid, as well as actions to promote blood donation.
Special attention is given to breast cancer screening, through consultations and awareness activities designed to remind the importance of early diagnosis.
Indeed, early detection of breast cancer generally improves treatment prospects and reduces the risk of complications.
These actions are part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month movement, an annual campaign aimed at informing women about risk factors, prevention measures, and the importance of appropriate medical follow-up.

Strong mobilization of health and civil society structures
Several institutions and organizations are taking part in this day, including the Beja Group for Occupational Medicine, the Occupational Medicine Inspection, the National Office of Family and Population (ONFP), the Tunisian Association of Midwives, the Life Association for Prevention and Awareness, and the Tunisian Association for Reproductive Health.
The Tunisian Red Crescent in Beja, the Regional Directorate of Civil Protection, and the Regional Blood Transfusion Center also participate in this initiative.

A partnership in the service of health prevention
The organization of this day illustrates the importance of cooperation between companies, health facilities, and civil society organizations to promote a culture of prevention and to facilitate access to medical services.
Beyond the consultations offered, this initiative provides an opportunity to raise citizens’ awareness of the importance of regular medical examinations and early screening, particularly in the fight against breast cancer.
