The National Institute of Meteorology announced that in Kairouan, the heat should reach 24°C this afternoon, making this city the hottest spot of the day, while Le Kef will remain cooler around 10°C, the coldest governorate.

Greater Tunis

Residents of Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous, and Manouba will experience a cool day, with temperatures ranging from 14°C to 21°C. Partly cloudy skies and very high humidity, around 100%, create a heavy atmosphere, especially in the early hours of the day. The light wind and overcast sky contribute to a persistent sense of coolness.

Sahel and Cap Bon

In Sousse, Mahdia, Monastir, and Nabeul, the weather remains cool but drier, with highs of 23°C. Humidity between 88% and 97% gives a damp feel, especially along the coast. A light southwesterly wind blows at times, but the light rains should be limited to Monastir and Nabeul.

Northwest

Bizerte, Beja, Jendouba, Le Kef and Siliana will experience a cloudy and humid day, with temperatures between 10°C and 19°C. Le Kef will be the coldest, with a low of 10°C, while light rains spread across the region, especially in Bizerte and Jendouba. The air is heavy, the wind is almost imperceptible.

Center

Kairouan, Sidi Bouzid and Kasserine will enjoy milder weather. Kairouan will be the warmest of the day, reaching 24°C, while the others stay around 19-22°C. Humidity is more moderate, between 77% and 90%, and the wind is light. A sometimes clear sky gives a touch of sunshine, especially later in the day.

South

The south, from Sfax to Tataouine, enjoys sunny weather, with highs reaching 24°C in Tozeur and 23°C in Gabès. Humidity is lower, between 72% and 95%, especially in the oases like Tozeur. Light but steady winds (up to 4 km/h) come from the southeast. The UV index is high, reaching 4.5 in Tataouine.

Three notable weather facts

  • Kairouan becomes the hottest governorate of the day at 24°C.
  • Le Kef remains the coldest with a low of 10°C.
  • The UV index reaches 4.5 in Tataouine, very high for an autumn day.

Practical tips

Plan for warm clothing in the north and northwest, where it is raining and cold. In the center and south, protect yourself from the sun with sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen, especially at noon. Avoid prolonged outdoor outings without protection in case of intense sun exposure.
