AI World Cup 2026: The Winner Is Already Known

Two months separate us from the kick-off of the 2026 World Cup, and projections are already fueling debates.

With the 48 qualified teams now known, all eyes are turning to the favorites of a tournament that promises to be particularly open.

According to Opta’s supercomputer, it is the Spanish squad that starts with a clear lead over its rivals, despite a recent run of form that has been less commanding.

La Roja notably leads France, finalists in 2022, as well as England and Argentina, who complete the top of the predictions.

Behind this quartet, several outsiders remain in the wings, such as Portugal, Brazil, Germany or the Netherlands. All such contenders capable of shaking up the hierarchy predicted as the tournament approaches.
