The Minister of Tourism, Sofiane Tekaya, announced that Tunisia will be the capital of Arab tourism in 2027, while unveiling several initiatives aimed at strengthening the promotion of the Tunisian destination, notably the launch of an intensive program and a digital platform dedicated to tourism content.
Speaking in a statement granted to the correspondent of Tunisia Numérique on the sidelines of the opening of the Electronic Equipment Show and the Program Production Market, held at Medina Méditerranéa in Yasmine Hammamet as part of the 26th edition of the Arab Festival of Radio and Television, the minister also stressed the role of the media in valorizing the country’s tourism potential.

Sofiane Tekaya indicated that the Electronics Equipment Show and the Program Production Market drew significant participation, with more than 500 participants.
The event is held at Medina Méditerranéa of Yasmine Hammamet as part of the 26th edition of the Arab Festival of Radio and Television.
The media called upon to strengthen the visibility of the Tunisian destination
The Minister of Tourism insisted on the role that the media can play in promoting Tunisia’s various tourist destinations and in highlighting them to Arab and international audiences.
According to Sofiane Tekaya, the ministry is also working on setting up a Tunisian tourism model capable of supporting the development of the sector and better valorizing the country’s various assets.

Sofiane Tekaya announced that Tunisia will be the capital of Arab tourism in 2027.
In this perspective, the ministry is working to establish a partnership with the Union of Arab Broadcasting Organizations to reinforce the promotion of Tunisian tourism and to better publicize the country’s various destinations and riches.
A digital platform dedicated to tourism content
The minister also announced the launch of an intensive program as well as a digital platform aimed at supporting and developing content devoted to Tunisian tourism.
This strategy provides for involving influencers, content creators, artists and media professionals in the efforts to promote the Tunisian destination.
The stated objective is to better publicize the diversity of the country’s tourism offer and the various strengths of its regions.
Strengthening Tunisia’s presence on Arab and international markets
Sofiane Tekaya emphasized that Tunisia has many assets and potential that could contribute to the development of the tourism sector.
According to him, their valorization and promotion should help strengthen the presence and visibility of Tunisia as a destination both on the Arab market and internationally.
