The Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG) announced a scheduled power outage for Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in several areas of the Raoued delegation, within the Ariana Governorate.
In a statement released by its Ariana regional district, STEG specifies that this interruption is part of its periodic maintenance program for electricity distribution networks, aimed at ensuring the quality of services provided to its customers.
Several neighborhoods affected
The outage will mainly affect the Borj Touil area, including the Snit estate, Karmet Aziz, as well as the surrounding neighborhoods of the Borj Touil Primary School. The Borj Touil road toward Sidi Younes and the Turki subdivision are also affected.
A gradual restoration of power
STEG has asked its subscribers to show understanding in the face of this temporary interruption, noting that the restoration of electricity will be gradual, depending on the progress of the works, and without prior notice.
This operation is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to modernize and secure its electrical network across the various regions of the country.
