Beja: Heavy hail hits Amdoun as authorities warn of flood risk (Video)

The Amdoun delegation, in the Beja Governorate, reported this morning heavy and abundant hail, accompanied by rainfall.

In addition, the municipal services and those of the Department of Equipment in the Amdoun delegation began, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, works to clear the rainwater drainage channels and to clean the surroundings of the roads, as part of flood risk prevention and the protection of residents as well as infrastructure.

The municipality stressed the importance of citizens’ cooperation, calling on them to avoid throwing waste into the drainage canals, in order to safeguard everyone’s safety and to strengthen the effectiveness of the preventive measures adopted.

Local authorities confirmed that these operations are part of an anticipatory approach aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of rainwater and avoiding any potential damage to roads and public property.
