The president of the National Chamber of Tourist Transport highlighted, during a Wednesday meeting dedicated to examining the development prospects of cruise tourism, that the number of arrivals via cruise tourism has reached, since the start of the year, approximately 210,000 visitors, with growing interest shown by several major international cruise lines.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, Silvio Loiodice, director of cruises at Costa, confirmed during the same meeting the growing attractiveness of Tunisia on cruise itineraries, noting that the number of passengers arriving via the Port of La Goulette reaches about 6,600 travelers per port of call. Among them, nearly 90% visit the archaeological and cultural sites as well as the main tourist hubs, with a particular enthusiasm for purchasing handicraft souvenirs, reflecting the quality and diversity of the tourism experience offered.
