The Ministry of Transport and Logistics in Morocco announced the opening, from Thursday, September 24, of applications related to this new tranche on the dedicated online platform Mouakaba.
This decision comes amid a context of strong tension in fuel prices. After several successive increases since mid-July, the price of diesel now exceeds 15 dirhams per liter.
In Casablanca, a survey conducted by Le360 on September 16 showed prices ranging from 15.30 to 15.33 DH per liter at several central-city stations.
As of that date, the cumulative increase had reached 2.74 DH per liter since mid-July.
The new tranche arrives as pressure on the sector has markedly intensified. For transport operators, fuel constitutes one of the main cost items, with a direct impact on operating costs and, potentially, on freight transport tariffs.
The international context remains tense as well. Brent is trading above $100 per barrel, while the global diesel market remains under pressure, notably due to disruptions affecting supply and refining capacity.
