In a single year, Tunisian exports of fresh fruits and vegetables to the Italian market rose by a record 60%, reaching 134 million dinars in 2025, up from 85 million dinars in 2024.
This growth coincides with a trade mission organized on June 18 and 19 by the Center for Promotion of Exports, through its Milan office and in cooperation with the Consulate General of Tunisia in the city. Nine Tunisian companies from the agricultural sector participated in it.
The mission included a visit to the Sogeme agro-food market in Milan, the largest food distribution platform in northern Italy, with the aim of strengthening the position of Tunisian fruits and vegetables within Italian distribution networks.
The Sogeme market receives around 25,000 visitors per day, while nearly one million tons of agricultural products pass through it each year, generating a turnover of nearly 20 million euros in 2025.
