On the sidelines of GITEX, African entrepreneurial dynamics were highlighted through several high-level interventions. Among them, that of Badir Gallaf, president of the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Youth Commission of the African Chamber of Commerce and Services, who shares his vision for the development of start-ups on the continent.
In this exclusive interview, he revisits the central role of the African Chamber in supporting companies and project initiators, both in Morocco and at the continental level.
“Our mission is to support start-ups and companies in their development projects, by mobilizing an ecosystem made up of institutional players and economic operators,” he explains.
According to him, this support is aimed at companies from different sectors, with particular attention given to innovation and youth, regarded as the essential engines of Africa’s economic transformation.
Present at the fourth edition of GITEX in Morocco, Badir Gallaf said he was impressed by the scale of the event and the quality of the projects on display. He particularly notes the rising prominence of this event, which has become an indispensable platform for exchanges and business opportunities.
One of the highlights of his visit was discovering the Tunisian pavilion, which he praised for its dynamism and creativity.
“We met several Tunisian start-ups, with a lot of innovation, energy and enthusiasm. Tunisia brings real added value to this ecosystem,” he stated.
He also highlighted the growing synergies between African countries, calling for strengthened regional collaborations to foster the emergence of high-potential projects.
In this regard, the African Chamber of Commerce and Services positions itself as a facilitator, ready to support Tunisian companies in their projects in Morocco, but also in their expansion across Africa.
For Badir Gallaf, the continent’s future depends on its ability to valorize its talents, structure its ecosystems and create bridges between the different African markets.
