Gold Price Falls Below $3,900 Per Ounce, Lowest Since Last November

Gold prices fell sharply on Friday, October 30, 2026, pressured by movements in crude oil prices, persistent inflation concerns, and the outlook for U.S. monetary policy.

According to available data, the price of the precious metal slipped to around $3,899 per ounce, marking a decline of 2.61%.

This decline comes amid rising crude oil prices and persistent inflation concerns, two factors likely to influence market expectations regarding upcoming decisions by the U.S. Federal Reserve on interest rates.

Generally, expectations of keeping rates elevated increase pressures on gold, as the metal represents an asset that does not generate regular yield.

Losses also extended to the futures market. The December-dated U.S. gold futures fell by 2.8% to settle at $3,919.60 per ounce.

These fluctuations illustrate the pressures facing the precious metal on global markets, as investors closely monitor inflation indicators and the directions of U.S. monetary policy.

On a monthly basis, gold is heading toward a second consecutive month of losses, after a roughly 5.9% drop in October, according to reported data.

This development comes as markets stay attentive to energy price fluctuations, inflation trends, and upcoming decisions by the U.S. Federal Reserve, all factors likely to influence precious metals prices.
