The Embassy of Tunisia in New Delhi announced that, as part of the implementation of its program to attract foreign direct investment, Hamadi Louati, the chargé d’affaires ad interim, received a delegation from the Jindal Group, composed of Hervinder Singh, the group’s president, and Kirit Sobti, the adviser in charge of investments in Africa.
The Indian delegation provided an overview of the Jindal Group, one of the oldest and largest industrial conglomerates in India. It conducts projects on various continents, particularly in several African countries.
In this context, the Indian delegation expressed the group’s interest in launching investment projects in Tunisia. It also conveyed its willingness to travel to the country at the earliest possible time to explore cooperation prospects and to transform the available opportunities into concrete projects.
On this occasion, the chargé d’affaires delivered a brief presentation on the investment climate in Tunisia and on the opportunities offered in high-value-added sectors. He notably highlighted the country’s flexible legislative framework, its human resources, its highly skilled workforce, its developed infrastructure, as well as its wide network of well-equipped industrial and technological zones, not to mention its geographic proximity to European and African markets.
