Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training Opens Registrations for Interest-Free Loans to Support Financial and Economic Inclusion
The Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training announced yesterday that, as part of continuing the implementation of a policy aimed at supporting the financial and economic inclusion of vulnerable groups and those with limited income, and at encouraging them to launch their own projects, registrations have been opened to benefit from interest-free loans not exceeding 10 thousand dinars per loan.
These financings are intended to support activities across all sectors of the economy. Their repayment spans a maximum of six years, with a one-year grace period.
Registrations for this program began on Monday, April 13, 2026 and will continue until Friday, May 15, 2026, exclusively via a digital platform.
An official from the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training stated, in an exclusive interview with Tunisia Numérique, that the main eligibility conditions for these loans notably include registration with an employment office. The applicant must also not be involved in any dispute with a financial or banking institution.
The same source added that those wishing to benefit from these loans must not have previously taken advantage of a financing line similar to this program, specifically designed to strengthen the financial and economic inclusion of vulnerable categories and those with limited income, and to encourage them to create projects to improve their incomes.
No specific level of education is required for the targeted categories, provided, however, that the applicant’s age does not exceed 64 years.
The same source also indicated that certain activities require obtaining a tax identification or joining the auto-entrepreneur regime, depending on the nature of each project.
It should be noted that the central services of the Tunisian Bank of Solidarity (BTS) handle the preliminary screening of applications and send SMS messages to project applicants meeting the financing conditions, inviting them to submit their files for review.
In total, a funding envelope of 20 million dinars has been allocated to this program to finance microprojects for vulnerable and low-income categories, with a ceiling of 10 thousand dinars per loan. This initiative is part of the implementation of Article 37 of the finance law, which established a financing line funded by the resources of the National Employment Fund.
