The Office of Trade of Tunisia (OCT) is preparing to launch a new computer application developed by its Information Systems Directorate. This project is part of its strategy to modernize management methods, develop its digital tools, and strengthen the principles of good governance.
An application dedicated to resource management and the supply chain
The new solution was presented and discussed recently during a working session. It aims in particular to improve human resources management as well as supply chain management, especially in the areas of stock and sales.
The application will allow monitoring several performance indicators related to the activity of this public institution, while ensuring better visibility into the functioning of storage and distribution centers.
Better tracking of stock levels and sales
The platform will notably offer the possibility to track the quantities available in the various storage centers, in order to improve their management and ensure greater efficiency and transparency.
It will also enable the control of the regularity of procedures related to sales operations, which should strengthen the internal control system and contribute to better management of the Office’s resources.
A new step in the digital transformation
The launch of this application is part of a broader process of digitization of the Office of Trade of Tunisia’s various functions.
The platform is expected to be completed, in a subsequent step, to also integrate the components related to procurement and logistics.
A user guide planned
The Office also plans to develop later a guide intended to ensure proper use of the new platform and optimal exploitation of its various features.
This document should also help harmonize working methods and facilitate user adoption of the tool.
Through this project, the Office of Trade of Tunisia confirms its orientation toward greater use of digital solutions in management, activity monitoring and decision-making, with the aim of improving its performance and strengthening the efficiency of resource management and supply chains.
