Newsroom Mourns the Death of Marwa Khmissi

Written by: Adel Khelifi on September 3, 2026

It is with deep sadness that the editorial team announces the death of journalist Marwa Khmissi, who had accompanied the newspaper for many years.

A graduate of the Institute of Press and Information Sciences, Marwa had joined our newsroom ten years ago and had not left since. She had made interviews her specialty: giving a voice, listening at length, reporting with accuracy. Those she interviewed remember a journalist who prepared her meetings with rare care and never shied away from a difficult question.

Beyond her work, those who shared her daily life remember her generosity and her presence in the newsroom. Her passing leaves a void that nothing will fill.

The management and the entire team extend their sincerest condolences to her family, to her loved ones and to her colleagues.

The funeral procession will take place tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the home of the deceased’s family, located in Houmet El Oued Eddahmani, in the Kef Governorate.

Rest in peace, Marwa.
