Omani SB Holding Group Explores New Expansion Opportunities in Tunisia

The Ministry of Economy and Planning announced that the Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, received, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, a delegation from the Omani group Suhail Bahwan (SB Holding), led by Sheikh Salem Saad Bahwan, vice-chairman of the group’s board of directors, currently on a working visit in Tunisia.

The meeting provided an opportunity for Sheikh Salem Bahwan to present the group’s activities in the Sultanate of Oman as well as its overseas investment projects in several sectors, notably automotive assembly, chemical industries, fertilizers, and renewable energies.

He indicated that this visit was part of the group’s intention to explore new opportunities to expand its activities in North Africa, particularly in Tunisia, considered a strategic site for investment and business development.

For his part, the Minister of Economy and Planning welcomed the interest demonstrated by the group in Tunisia. He highlighted the country’s comparative advantages as well as the areas and sectors likely to offer a favorable framework for establishing a fruitful partnership between the two sides.

In this context, the minister affirmed the availability of the ministry and its investment structures to provide the group with the necessary support and assistance to help realize its projects under the best possible conditions.
