As part of the implementation of the Conservation and Enhancement Plan for the Medina of Sousse (PSMV), the Sousse municipality announced the completion of the first phase of this project, dedicated to carrying out a comprehensive inventory of land parcels and buildings located within the urban fabric of the old town.
Preserve the architectural identity of the Medina
The project aims in particular to preserve the authentic urban and architectural identity of the Medina of Sousse, while enhancing its historical and built heritage.
It should also help better frame future urban interventions to ensure a balance between heritage protection and development imperatives.
