As part of the works to extend the southern entrance of the capital, lot no. 3, the Ministry of Equipment and Habitat announced the temporary closure of the National Route No. 3 (RN3) at the El Mourouj Bridge, in the direction toward Tunis.

Closure between 10:00 PM and 4:00 AM

Traffic will be interrupted on this section during the nights of September 8 and 9, 2026, from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM.

This measure is part of the continuation of the works to develop and extend the southern entrance to Tunis.

An alternative route has been set up

The ministry specified that motorists coming from the El Yahoudia junction and heading toward the Hospital for Severe Burns or toward the capital may take an alternative route.

They will have to turn right at the El Mourouj 1 and 2 junctions, then proceed toward the Miami junction, before joining the Bir El Kassaa interchange, then the south expressway.

Call for caution

The Ministry of Equipment and Habitat has urged road users to exercise caution and to comply with the road signage put in place for these works.
