STEG: Possible Power Outages Tonight from 10 PM to Midnight – Affected Areas

Written by: Adel Khelifi on August 26, 2026

Following the notices released during the day, the Tunisian Company for Electricity and Gas (STEG) published new statements announcing the possibility of rolling electricity outages this Tuesday, August 25, 2026, between 22:00 and midnight, in several regions of the country.

These interruptions could occur intermittently, depending on the state of the electrical grid. STEG specifies that this measure aims to safeguard the security and continuity of its electrical system and to meet the balance requirements between generation and consumption.

A list that may evolve

STEG stresses that this list is not definitive. Other areas may be affected according to the evolution of the grid situation and the needs to balance electricity generation and consumption.

Power may return without prior notice

STEG states that the restoration of electricity may occur without prior announcement. It therefore invites residents and professionals in the cited areas to take the necessary precautions during the window between 22:00 and midnight.

To report an emergency or request further information, customers can contact STEG’s service number at 71 239 222. They can also reach the numbers listed on their consumption bills.

STEG apologizes for this exceptional measure and asks its customers for understanding and cooperation.
