On the 26th day of the war between the United States, Israel and Iran, the military escalation continues on several fronts, while diplomatic signals remain contradictory.
Israel’s air defenses intercepted new salvos of missiles fired from Iran, while alert sirens sounded in several areas, notably in Eilat, Jerusalem and in the center of the country, with no casualties at this stage.
In parallel, explosions were heard in Tehran, where the Israeli army said it had launched strikes targeting facilities linked to the Iranian regime.
In this context of extreme tensions, Washington speaks of “very promising opportunities” for an agreement, while indirect channels of communication remain active. But divergences persist over the format and the interlocutors of the negotiations, as the war continues to widen, including in Lebanon with exchanges of strikes between Israel and Hezbollah.
