The City of Science of Tunis is organizing, in collaboration with the Club of Young Chemists of the Faculty of Science of Tunis, the National Chemistry Day, on Saturday, October 24 of this year.
This scientific event is organized on the occasion of Avogadro Day, celebrated every year on October 23. This event provides an opportunity for chemists, students and science enthusiasts to promote interest in chemistry.
This edition aims to present chemistry in a playful, interactive, and accessible way, to better understand some of the fundamental concepts of this discipline and to highlight its importance in daily life and in the world around us.
This scientific gathering is aimed at children, pupils and students, invited to explore the universe of chemistry in a fun and interactive way.
The program includes practical workshops and scientific experiments notably focusing on playful chemistry, acid-base reactions, the physical and chemical properties of water and air, as well as chemistry calculations. A chemistry competition is also planned.
It is worth recalling that Avogadro Day pays homage to the Italian scientist Amedeo Avogadro, known in particular for the law that bears his name, relating to the number of particles, atoms or molecules contained in a given amount of matter.
