Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex Falls 0.20%, Circuit-Breaker Ends, Tunindex20 Changes

The Tunis Stock Exchange closed the session on Monday, September 28, 2026, with a slight retreat in a subdued equity market. Beyond the movement of indices, the day was marked by the elimination of the so-called “circuit-breaker” mechanism, the upcoming replacement of Tunisia Leasing & Factoring by ATL in the Tunindex20, and the continuation of the capital increase of Tunis Re.

A session with a slight decline

The Tunindex closed at 18,370.73 points, down 0.20%. Its year-to-date advance remains strong at +36.59%.

The Tunindex20 fell by 0.26%, to 8,024.71 points, bringing its year-to-date gain to +34.30%.

The Tunindex stands 14.8% below its annual high of 21,552.73 points, reached on July 17. It remains, however, 40.0% above its low of the year, set at 13,119.98 points on January 8.

The market capitalization stands at 45,442 MD, down 0.15% on the session and up 31.09% since the start of the year.

The trend was predominantly negative: 14 stocks advanced, 30 declined, and 17 remained unchanged. Twelve stocks were not quoted and two are suspended.

Trading on equity titles remained limited to 3.346 MD, for 1,465 transactions and 366,085 shares. No block trades were recorded.
