News

UNIMED – The company finished the first half of 2026 with a profit of 8.8 MD versus 10.4 MD in the first half of the previous year, i.e., a drop of 15.2%.

The operating result nevertheless shows a growth of 15.5% to 20.6 MD. First-half revenues fell by 10.8%, impacted by the decline in export subcontracting, while operating costs declined more sharply by 18.5%. Financing costs declined from 3.2 to 2 MD over the same period.

The decrease in net profit is explained by the recognition, during the first half of 2026, of the definitive loss resulting from the tax audit, following an agreement reached with the tax authorities, for an amount of 4.4 MD, as well as a write-off of inventory of 1.8 MD.
