Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex Opens the Week Higher

The stock market started the week on a positive note. The benchmark index rose by 1.03% to 19,121.00 points on Monday, September 14, 2026, in a volume of 4.8 million dinars (MD), and with no block transaction realized.

Stock Performance

The NBL stock posted the best performance of the session. It registered a gain of 5.33% to 3.360 dinars (D), in a modest turnover of 17 thousand dinars. While drawing capital of 23 thousand dinars over the session, the ASSAD stock also advanced, by 4.41% to 2.370 D.

The BL stock was the session’s laggard in the TUNINDEX. With only 2 thousand dinars of trading volume, the stock fell 4.49% to 2.550 D. The BTE stock did not perform well on the market, decreasing 3.73% to 6.200 D. The stock attracted capital flows of nearly 3 thousand dinars during the day.

DH was the most traded security of the session. The stock fell by 2.49% to 20.190 D, while drawing approximately 742 thousand dinars in market activity.

SMART TUNISIA – At the end of the first half of 2026, the company posted a profit of 16 MD versus 11 MD on 30 June 2025, representing a 45% increase.

The first-half revenues grew 15%, to 222.2 MD. The operating result thus rose by 43% compared to June 2025, to 24.8 MD.

Net financial charges increased from 5.7 to 6 MD over the same period, while investment income declined to 1.6 MD at end-June 2026 compared with 1.9 MD the previous year.

CARTHAGE CEMENT – The company closed the first half of 2026 with a net result of 25.169 MD versus 28.174 MD on June 30, 2025, representing a drop of 10.66%.

The company posted an operating result of 40.8 MD at the end of June of the current year, down 3.69%. Net financial charges fell from 21.2 to 19.6 MD. Financial income remained at the same level, compared to June 2025, at 2.6 MD. Moreover, the first half of 2025 had benefited from 3.5 MD in other ordinary gains.
