Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex Remains Nearly Stable

 Market Overview

The stock market closed the session on a near-stable note. The benchmark index posted on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 a slight increase of 0.05% to 21,050.63 points, in a volume of 12.0 million dinars (MD), aided by the execution of a block transaction worth 5.1 MD.

Stock Performance

Unlike the previous day, the STA share delivered the best performance of the session. It posted a gain of 5.15% to 99.890 dinars (D), in a turnover of 185 thousand dinars. While attracting capital of only 5 thousand dinars, the TJL security advanced by 4.38% to 50,000 D.

The STPIL share ended as the session’s laggard on the TUNINDEX. With a turnover of 60 thousand dinars, the stock fell by 4.39% to 39,200 D. The BNASS value did not perform well on the market during the session, dropping by 3.78% to 5,090 D. The stock traded for 129 thousand dinars during the session.

BIAT was the most actively traded stock of the session. The share declined by 0.53% to 178.940 D, fueling the market with capital of about 5.4 MD.

BNA ASSURANCES – As of June 30, 2026, total revenue stands at 99.7 MDT against 93.1 MDT on the same date in 2025, registering a 7% increase. Claims settled remain broadly stable at 50 MDT on June 30, 2026, compared with 49.7 MDT at the same period in 2025, indicating control of the claims burden.

Ceded premiums reached 5 MD by the end of June 2026 against 4.7 MD at the same period in 2025, a 6% increase.

Financial income amounts to 20.3 MD at the end of June 2026, compared with 21.2 MDT on June 30, 2025, recording a slight decrease of 0.9 MD while commissions rise to 11.7 MD on June 30, 2026, up 7% compared to June 30, 2025 (10.8 MD).

BT – According to activity indicators, client loans (net of provisions) reached 6,588,142 thousand dinars as of 30/06/2026, compared with 6,009,216 thousand dinars on 30/06/2025, i.e., an increase of 578,926 thousand dinars (+9.6%).

Customer deposits are up by (+0.3%), rising from 6,788,271 thousand dinars on 30/06/2025 to 6,807,267 thousand dinars on 30/06/2026, an increase of 18,996 thousand dinars.

Net Banking Income reached at the end of the 2nd quarter 2026 an amount of 292,079 thousand dinars, compared with 261,150 thousand dinars at the end of the 2nd quarter 2025, representing a +11.8% growth (+30,929 thousand dinars) while operating expenses rose by +7% to reach 91,772 thousand dinars on 30/06/2026 from 85,760 thousand dinars on 30/06/2025.
