The Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, stated that the current period requires mobilizing all national energies in order to achieve a fairer and more balanced development.
He stressed that the success of the development plan 2026-2030 constitutes a shared national responsibility, requiring the involvement of all concerned actors.
An integrated development vision
The minister spoke during a plenary session at the Assembly of the Representatives of the People, dedicated to voting on the development plan project 2026-2030.
Answering the deputies’ questions, Samir Abdelhafidh indicated that this plan had been developed within the framework of an integrated development vision.
This approach is based on the establishment of an economic and social model that is fairer and more sustainable, capable of addressing current challenges and better distributing the fruits of development.
Improving the quality of life of citizens
According to the minister, the development plan includes a set of reforms and programs aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.
The planned measures should also help strengthen the effectiveness of public policies and better respond to economic and social needs in the different regions of the country.
Strengthening the competitiveness of the Tunisian economy
The 2026-2030 plan also aims to improve the competitiveness of the national economy.
This objective must be achieved through reforms designed to support economic performance, to strengthen production capacities and to foster a more sustainable development dynamic.
Reducing disparities between regions
Samir Abdelhafidh also stressed the importance of establishing balanced development among the different regions.
The plan thus aims to reduce territorial disparities and promote a better distribution of projects, investments and development opportunities across the entire Tunisian territory.
