Tunisia External Trade: Top Clients and Suppliers Ranking as of April 2026

The geographic distribution of Tunisian exports shows that the European Union captured, during the first four months of the current year, 71.3% of total exports, with a value of 16,183.3 MD, compared to 14,524.3 MD during the same period in 2025.

Exports are up with France (+13.8%), Italy (+5.2%), and Germany (+4.7%). Conversely, they have fallen with certain European partners, including the Netherlands (-7.5%) and Greece (-38.9%).

Towards Arab countries, exports have increased with Egypt (+99.9%) and Saudi Arabia (+71.7%). However, they have decreased with Morocco (-40.1%), with Algeria (-20.3%), and with Libya (-19.6%).

Major clients of Tunisia:

  • France: 23%
  • Italy: 17%
  • Germany: 14%
  • Spain: 6%
  • USA: 4%

As for imports, a share of 45.5% came from the European Union. They reached 13,750.7 MD compared with 12,139.4 MD during the first four months of 2025.

Imports increased with France (+24.7%) and with Italy (+10.7%). Conversely they decreased with Bulgaria (-19.3%) and with Greece
(-6.4%).

Outside the European Union, imports increased with Turkey (+8.1%) and India (+32.1%). Conversely they recorded a decrease with Russia (-57%) and China
(-3.7%).
