Economist, first grade: 2 positions
This position is intended for holders of a research Master’s degree in Economic Sciences.

General eligibility requirements

The institute specifies that candidates must meet the general recruitment conditions in the public sector, in accordance with the ITCEQ’s special status for public servants.

These conditions include in particular Tunisian nationality, enjoyment of civil rights, good conduct, the required physical and mental aptitudes, as well as regular status with regard to national service.

An age limit set at 40

Regarding age, the communiqué sets the maximum age at 40 years as of January 1, 2026.

Legal exemptions may, however, be granted up to 45 years, in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 1031 of the year 2006. These exceptions concern notably candidates whose unemployment period exceeds 10 years and who are registered with employment offices, as well as those who have worked in the public sector on a temporary or contractual basis.

Mandatory online registration

ITCEQ emphasizes that preliminary registration must be carried out remotely via the National Portal for Public Competitions: www.concours.gov.tn.

Applicants must print the application form and attach it to their paper file before the submission deadline. The institute specifies that a candidate may apply for only one position. Any application to multiple positions results in complete exclusion from the competition.

Documents required in the paper file

The application file must include several mandatory documents, the absence of which leads to immediate exclusion.

These include the signed application form, a copy of the national identity card, a curriculum vitae, copies of the baccalaureate diploma and the required scientific diploma, with an equivalence decision where applicable.

The file must also include the baccalaureate transcripts and the grades from the last three years of university studies, as well as proof of enrollment with the employment office or documents proving active employment in the public sector for candidates over 40.

For candidates whose unemployment period exceeds 10 years, a sworn written statement regarding the unemployment status is also required.

An opportunity for economic and statistical profiles

This competition represents an opportunity for profiles specialized in economic sciences, statistics and information analysis. The ITCEQ, as a public institution specializing in economic and quantitative studies, thus seeks to strengthen its human resources with qualified skills in strategic areas related to analysis, research and support for public decision-making.
