The Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment has called on several private training institutions to regularize their legal status and to review their names, after having observed illegal practices aimed at giving them a false judicial appearance.
In a statement, the ministry clarified that the abuses observed mainly concern the use by certain training institutions of designations similar to those of national and international courts and judicial bodies.
Some entities have thus resorted to designations referring to an “International Court,” “African,” “European” or “Arab” court, as well as to institutions related to justice, with the aim of creating the impression that they possess a judicial status that they do not legally have.
The ministry also noted the issuance of cards and certificates bearing the title of “arbitrator,” as well as the organization of ceremonies devoted to the taking of oaths.
The reported practices also include the use of outfits, symbols and insignia similar to those officially adopted by judicial authorities.
The ministry warned that continuing such practices would expose their authors to the legal and administrative measures provided by current law. It called the concerned institutions in this context to review the certificates they issue as well as the content of their documents, communication materials and advertisements, to ensure compliance with the regulations.
Finally, the ministry indicated that it will forward to the competent authorities the files containing suspicions of violations of the law or usurpation of function, so that appropriate measures are taken against them.
