The national team coach, Mouine Chaabani, will announce next Saturday evening the list of players selected for the upcoming gathering of the Tunisia national team, in preparation for the third and fourth matchdays of the qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) 2027.

The “Lions of Carthage” will face Libya twice: on Friday, November 13, at the Taïeb Mhiri Stadium in Sfax, starting at 5:00 PM, and then on Tuesday, November 17 in Tripoli.

The list will be published on the official website of the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF). The gathering of the players is scheduled for next Sunday, before the team’s trip to Sfax.

The first training session will take place on November 9. The preparation will continue in the southern capital during FIFA’s international window, which will span nine days starting from Sunday, November 8. A press conference will also be organized before the match between Tunisia and Libya at the Taïeb Mhiri Stadium.

All the logistical and organizational arrangements necessary for the smooth running of the camp as well as for the organization of the two matches, in Sfax and in Tripoli, have been made.

The Tunisian delegation will travel to Libya on Sunday, November 15 aboard a special plane, in anticipation of the fourth match, scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

As a reminder, Tunisia currently occupies third place in Group H with two points, after two draws against Uganda and Botswana, which also have two points. Uganda, already automatically qualified as co-host of CAN 2027, leads the group with four points, while Libya sits at the bottom with a single point.

Given Uganda’s automatic qualification, only one team from Group H will secure its place for the finals of the continental competition.
