Speaking on Monday, April 6, 2026, during the commemoration of the 26th anniversary of the death of leader Habib Bourguiba at the Monastir mausoleum, Kaïs Saïed recalled that these increases have been legally enacted, but their implementation still depends on the publication of the regulatory texts.
Purchasing Power at the Heart of the Priorities
The President of the Republic stressed that the objective of these measures goes beyond the legal framework, aiming above all to concretely improve citizens’ purchasing power.
He emphasized that salaries must guarantee dignified living conditions, in a context marked by the rise in the cost of living, affirming that efforts are underway to revalorize these increases in line with current economic realities.
