The European Union Delegation to Tunisia announced the opening of applications from Tunisian companies wishing to benefit from the investment grant ‘Rawafed +’ , through the platform POPS dedicated to subsidies and investments.
Eligible companies can now submit their applications exclusively online via this platform to benefit from this financial support mechanism. The first review session of the applications will begin on September 7, 2026.
A grant of up to 50,000 euros
The grant “Rawafed +” represents 10 % of the amount of financing obtained under the European Investment Bank (EIB) credit line.
Its amount is set at a minimum of 1 000 euros and cannot exceed 50 000 euros. It is granted in the form of a direct non-repayable grant.
To benefit from this support, the company must have obtained a financing notification under the EIB credit line and meet at least one of the social criteria retained by the bank.
These criteria include investments in priority regions, support for women and youth employment, improving access to the labor market, and promoting sustainable development.
A four-month deadline to submit applications
Each applicant has a four-month deadline from the date of notification of the financing to submit their application.
Applications will remain open until funds are exhausted or, at the latest, until the December 2027.
Applications must be submitted exclusively via the POPS platform.
A project financed by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France
The project “Rawafed +” is funded by the European Union in Tunisia and implemented by Expertise France, as part of support for the credit line “Tunisia – Economic Recovery” worth 170 million euros, financed by the European Investment Bank.
This grant constitutes additional non-repayable financial support aimed at strengthening the impact of BEI-financed projects.
Supporting the resilience of Tunisian SMEs
With a duration of 48 months, from July 2024 to June 2028, the project “Rawafed +” aims to strengthen the resilience of Tunisian small and medium-sized enterprises and improve their access to financing.
The program rests on four main pillars:
- technical assistance to financial institutions to develop offerings tailored to the needs of SMEs;
- the grant of investment subsidies to support projects with environmental and social impact;
- the establishment of technical support mechanisms for SMEs;
- the strengthening of financial literacy and sustainable management of enterprises.
