The Office of the Merchant Navy and Ports (OMMP) announced that the Port of La Goulette welcomed, in the morning of Thursday, October 8, 2026, two cruise ships arriving from Barcelona (Spain).
The first, the MSC Meraviglia, carried 4 759 tourists and 1 624 crew members from various nationalities aboard. The second, the Costa Pacifica, had on board 3 180 tourists and 1 037 crew members.
A large number of cruise passengers visited several archaeological sites and tourist areas of the capital, as well as traditional craft shops.
According to OMMP, the Port of La Goulette welcomed around 243 000 tourists by the end of September 2026, compared with nearly 200 000 during the same period in 2025.
By the end of 2026, the port is expected to welcome nearly 355 000 tourists, compared with about 270 000 for the entire year 2025.
