Startup Village, in collaboration with the Tunisian Designers’ Alliance (ATD), is proud to announce the launch of the second edition of UpCycl’Art scheduled for July 30, 2024. This innovative artistic program shines a spotlight on creative upcycling, showcasing the transformative power of reimagining discarded or recycled materials into original art pieces. The event creates a unique platform for artists to demonstrate how sustainability and creativity can merge to produce captivating works.
Last year marked the debut of UpCycl’Art, which brought together 28 talented artists, who displayed a total of 115 products. These showcased the vibrant diversity and richness of upcycling practices across Tunisia. The event garnered substantial media attention, with television coverage reaching over one million viewers and digital platforms accumulating around 160,000 views. Additionally, the exhibition attracted approximately 1,000 visitors, reflecting the growing interest in sustainable art initiatives. A dedicated website was also launched to showcase the participating artists and their artworks, providing a permanent online gallery: http://shop.startupvillage.tn/.

What’s New for the 2025 Edition?
Enhanced Diversity: This year’s edition will feature an even broader spectrum of participating artists, creating a true intercultural gathering of talents and mediums. This diversity promises a vibrant mosaic of artistic expressions, reflecting different backgrounds and creative visions.
New Economic Opportunities: A new economic framework will be introduced to support participating artists in monetizing their creations. This model will provide artists with practical tools and strategies to maximize their earnings from upcycled art, fostering sustainability not just environmentally but economically as well.
Workshops and Increased Visibility: Attendees will have access to inspiring workshops focused on online marketing and selling techniques, designed to bolster artists’ skills in digital promotion. This is a valuable chance for artists to refine their online presence, reach broader audiences, and enhance their visibility within the creative community and potential buyers.
