The National Water Exploitation and Distribution Company (SONEDE) – Jendouba District – informed its customers of disruptions and an interruption to drinking water distribution planned for Monday, February 16, 2026, starting at 3:00 PM.

This situation follows the completion of works to divert the water supply and distribution mains, carried out as part of the Oued Tarfes bridge project in the Tabarka delegation. Technical teams will thus proceed with the second phase of connecting a main pipeline with a diameter of 400 mm.

Several zones affected

According to SONEDE, the outages will affect the town of Tabarka as well as several surrounding areas, including Boutarfes, the tourist zone, Al-Hawamdia, Hay Al-Marjane, Jaâb Ellah, El Fajja and the Melloula region.

Gradual resumption in the evening

The company specified that supply should gradually resume from 7:00 PM, once the works are completed. These interventions will proceed continuously in order to restore service as quickly as possible.

Authorities are calling residents of the affected areas to take the necessary precautions while waiting for normal service to be restored.
