The executive committee of the Ben Guerdane Sporting Union published, on Wednesday evening, a communiqué addressed to the National Arbitration Directorate as well as to the public.
According to the text published on the club’s official page, the southern side expresses its opposition to the designation of referee Amir Ayadi to lead the match against Club Africain next Sunday.
The club’s management believes that the appointment of Amir Ayadi for a fourth match involving Club Africain places him “under a cloud of suspicion” and potential bias, according to the communiqué.
It also states that all the matches he has officiated have elicited protests from the opposing teams of Club Africain.
In the same communiqué, the Ben Guerdane Sporting Union states that it reserves the right to defend its team’s interests and to initiate the necessary legal and sporting procedures in case of misconduct likely to influence the outcome of the match.
