The Ministry of Justice announced that Minister Leila Jaffel today conducted an unannounced visit to the juvenile rehabilitation center in Sidi El Hani, in the Sousse governorate. During this visit, she inspected the detention conditions of the children at the center and evaluated the quality of the services provided to them.
The minister emphasized the importance of respecting sanitary and hygiene standards, while calling for strengthening the care and rehabilitation of the children housed there. She also highlighted the need to improve working conditions and the competencies of the staff, in order to guarantee a high-quality service. She issued instructions to address the gaps identified during the visit.
Following this visit, the minister carried out an unannounced visit to the Regional Institute of Prisons and Rehabilitation for the center and the coast in Mahdia, where she inspected the administrative functioning of the institution.
