Tunis Stock Exchange: Tunindex Falls

Market Profile

The stock market closed the session on a negative note. The benchmark index posted, on Tuesday March 24, 2026, a decline of 0.29% to 15,539.44 points.

In the absence of block trades, the day was marked by a relatively modest trading pace, amounting to 6.8 million dinars (MD).

Stock performance

The SOTRAPIL stock posted the best performance of the session. In a small volume of 10 thousand dinars, the share rose 5.4% to 27,400 D. The ASTREE stock was among the session’s strongest gains. The share posted a rise of 3.9% to 50 D, fueling the market with trades of 28 thousand dinars.

The SIPHAT stock recorded the steepest decline of the session. In an anemic flow of one thousand dinars, the share fell 4.5% to 7,900 D. The TUNIS RE stock also ranked among the session’s biggest declines. The share fell by 2.1% to 14 D. The stock accumulated a total volume of 192 thousand dinars for the session.

OTH was the most dynamic stock of the session. The stock rose 1.8% to 8,850 D, drawing flows of 1.6 MD.

BANQUE DE TUNISIE – The board of directors, meeting on March 23, 2026, approved the standalone and consolidated financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025.

At the end of this year, Banque de Tunisie posted a standalone net income of 190.2 MD, versus 188.4 MD for the previous year. The consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2025 show a group net income of 202.8 MD, compared with 199.4 MD a year earlier.

The board of directors decided to convene an ordinary general meeting, to be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 in Tunis. It will propose to the ordinary general meeting the distribution of a dividend of 0.350 dinar per share, for the 2025 financial year.
