In an exclusive statement granted to Tunisie Numérique on the margins of the Ordinary General Assembly of the Tunisian Bank (STB) held on April 30 in Tunis, Rachid Batita, the bank’s chief executive officer, announced that STB will recruit this year between 380 and 400 civil servants and staff.
“Given the decline in the staffing rate, retirements and the bank’s ambitious development program, which foresees the opening of new branches as well as strengthening human resources, STB aims to consolidate the means of its policy through the launch, late May-early June 2026, of a competition for the recruitment of about 400 civil servants and staff,” added the STB’s CEO.
Asked about the development prospects of Tunisian Foreign Bank (TFBank), which has five branches in France and an offshore subsidiary in Tunis, Rachid Batita indicated that this bank represents Tunisia’s image abroad.
“We all must make efforts to support this bank and put it back on the right track. That is why new governance and action plans have been put in place, a new general management has been appointed, and a global audit mission lasting six months has been launched. The objective is to ensure the restructuring of TFBank, which has great development potential, so that it serves the Tunisian diaspora in France and the Tunisian economy,” added Rachid Batita.
Regarding Tunisians living abroad, Rachid Batita recalled that STB offers the Tunisian diaspora several products, such as the 48h Chrono Mortgage for the acquisition of a home, the platform “Iksib fi bledik”, as well as an offer allowing TREs in France to access the “Dari Fi Tounes” loan at a preferential rate.
