In its response to the written question addressed by the deputy to the Assembly of the Representatives of the People, Mohamed Ali, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research indicated that new provisions have been adopted. These provisions notably provide for the possibility of granting the required equivalence to any person who can demonstrate actual professional experience of at least five years, after obtaining the degree in medical specialties, without requiring additional training, an assessment test, or both, in accordance with the last paragraph of Article 16 of the applicable decree.

The ministry added that this measure has been applied by the sectoral commission responsible for equivalence in medical and paramedical specialties. Several graduates who pursued specialty medical training in Germany have thus obtained equivalence decisions, on the basis of the aforementioned seniority, after presenting documents proving their actual practice.
