Field interventions conducted by the municipality of Tunis, in coordination with the Directorate of the Municipal Police and in the presence of officers responsible for hygiene control, in public establishments within the El Omrane municipal district, led to the identification of 17 sanitary violations.
The necessary legal and regulatory measures have been taken against the offenders. Quantities of spoiled or unknown-origin food products were also seized and destroyed.
These operations, conducted as part of the municipality’s periodic on-site control program, also focused on the clearance of sidewalks and roadways, as well as on cracking down on offenses related to the sanitary safety of foodstuffs.
The owners of public establishments were also urged to comply with the municipal regulations in force, according to a statement issued this Tuesday by the Tunis Municipality.
